Ernakulam Medical Centre or  EMC as its been lovingly referred to, was established in Cochin on January 24th, 1985 as a hospital with a capacity of 50 beds. Today, it has become one of the top healthcare providers in the region. With over 100 beds, the Intensive Care Units cater to a diverse range of medical needs, such as trauma, surgical procedures, neonatal and pediatric care, neurosurgical intensive therapy units, burns, cardiology, and a fully equipped birthing suite with facilities for both ante-natal and post-natal care.
